Sky Kingdom has "paid workout"//Prospective tries to turn a corner//Liaison quick in work

Finishing last in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile usually doesn’t put a horse on many early Kentucky Derby contender lists, however that could change for Prospective with a big effort in Saturday’s Pasco Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs.  Trainer Mark Casse thinks his charge has turned a corner// Sky Kingdom, a colt I’m keeping a close eye on given his strong 4th in the CashCall Futurity (G1), won an easy allowance contest at Santa Anita against just 3 rivals.  Martin Garcia wrapped up the reins once he realized the race was in hand, much to the chagrin of Bob Baffert.  As usual, Baffert offered little details on next race plans for Sky Kingdom other than it will be another stakes try// Liaison, winner of the CashCall Futurity (G1) had a quick 5 panel move// Teresa Genaro writes a nice overview article of the Derby trail for Forbes online, but incorrectly mentions that Secret Circle has $290,000 in graded stakes earnings. The Breeders Cup Juvenile Sprint is in fact not graded (yet), so the horse still has quite a few graded dollars to add to his mere $20,000 sum…
